Sarah,

I found your site through one of my bootcampers and we are both inspired by your stories and wish you well with everything you are facing. I am not RKC but am a Z-Health Level 4 Trainer and have been using KBs for about 5 years with clients in our area. As I read this post, I instantly thought about your median and/or radial nerves that affect the thumb and index finger. If you had any time, I would love to meet you and go over a few drills. I wish you well and hope we can connect at some point.

Take care,
Jason Rhymer

Jenn, if I can do it, you can too!! And I mean losing the weight (although you are already very lean!) AND building the strength! Don't be in too much hurry. The strength with come with time. I can't wait to see your success!!

Wow!! Fantastic! It just seems like we've had one thing after another in common. It's almost uncanny. From our similar training progressions to the HKC to my teacher Doug being your team leader and now I read that you were facing the same kb dilemma I am facing. Although I don't have an previous injury that is causing my problems...mine is simply lack of strength. :( Doug and I think my best plan of attack is to lose a little weight. It's not much to lose but I'm more confident I can shed a few pounds than pass the snatch test with a 16kg. I'm shooting for the RKC in August. I hope in a few months I'll be able to have a choice too. Great job!!!

Dave, I want to say THANK YOU to you and Beth for the support while I was trying to lose weight. I lost a few pounds and gained some wonderful friends.

Ideal scenario is you pass the rkc at 123lbs with the 12kg bell, then do it again with the 16kg just because you can - I am sure you are capable of both :)

Great job, Sarah! So which do you think you'll pick? And have you committed to an RKC date?
